8 STAGES OF UX DESIGN PROCESS

User experience design (UX design) is a way for designing digital products that addresses problems that affect people. UX Analysis

Then, designers conduct research into the problem to find potential solutions. UX designers conduct the following types of research during the research phase:

  • Drawings of user interfaces made by hand.

  • Using basic lines and forms, wireframes are digital copies of paper prototypes.

  • Rudimentary prototypes digital prototypes that evaluate user flows and information architecture using wireframes.

Professional Mockups & Prototypes

The UI design team then converts wireframes and mockups to produce high-fidelity prototypes that, in terms of both appearance and functionality, resemble the final product. Designers will utilise the UI component library to create interactive prototypes if the business has a design system in place.


Usability Evaluation

Usability testing is the main goal of high-fidelity prototypes. UX designers test these prototypes with actual users to:

  • Validate concepts.

  • Find usability problems.

  • Accessibility testing.

  • Recognize commercial opportunities.

Iterable steps range from 2 to 5. Designers iterate on ideas based on test findings in stages two or three until they find one that satisfies the requirements for desirability, viability, and feasibility. It's crucial to remember that, even though user testing is the fifth stage of the UX design process, design teams often run numerous tests to confirm concepts and hypotheses. Examples of these tests include internal testing with team members or presenting concepts and prototypes to stakeholders for feedback.

Design Transfer

The design handoff, where the design team passes its mockups, prototypes, and documentation to the development team to begin the engineering process, is the second to final stage of the UX design process.
